The Bridge

Fall Walk

Walking, riding

Through the crunching

Golden leaves.

Wind blows,

Swirling,

Softly floating back down.

Flash of red,

Hint of brown,

Gold crowns the scene.

The Ocean

Ocean.  

Deep, mysterious, breathtaking, awe-inspiring. 

Might and magnificence,  

Mysteries within it,

Incredible calm beneath the turbulent waves.

The ocean challenges: 

Surfers ride the mighty waves, 

Fishermen brave the squalls to find the best catch, 

Divers defy the mighty beasts that dwell in the dark waters.

Great ships lie in the murky depths, tombs, monuments of a past age…

Beauty abounds in this glorious ecosystem, 

Sustaining life within, 

Life on Earth, 

Our life!

As I love all things Ocean, so my dear friend over at 10 Steps to Finding Your Happy Place.  She loves the mountains.  THese mountains are also in North Wales, we can see them from my favorite beach!  Perfect!

Summer Day

Beauty tangled within lush greens and wild flowers.  Looking towards the sun, finding warmth and nourishment on a summer's day.  What cannot be seen is hiding?  Or perhaps too small?  Color pops...bursting through the garden to the bright light of day.

The Wave

The power and beauty captured by a photographer with talent.  I do not know who took this photo...I certainly cannot take credit.  I want to rush in and feel the thrill of this wave....challenge myself beyond my known limits...live!

Driving

I love to drive with music blaring and the windows open, feeling the wind rush through my hair and over my face. That means I need to drive alone and in remote places. I love North Wales as the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other offer a vista to marvel at. I would love to try the desert too…just to feel free!


Where does this road go?

Iron Man

The Iron Man overlooking Llanbedrog Beach in North Wales.  

As a child I would climb the hill to see him and look out across the bay, blue sea and Snowdonia providing the backdrop.  He no longer stands....due to the materials used and the untreated surface, (all the better to blend in with the natural surroundings) the 'Iron Man', as was expected, gradually decayed until all that was left were his boots.


Do you think he was ever replaced?

Cornish Church

Peace and tranquility in the doorway of a Cornish Church.  Cornwall is a wonderful place to visit.  It has quaint fishing villages, lush scenery, beautiful beaches, and is one of the best places to surf in England.
